Florida Academy’s Skin Care program provides focused training for students who want to work with clients in spas, salons, skin care studios, and other beauty and wellness settings.
Through classroom instruction and hands-on practice, you can learn how to evaluate skin, recommend appropriate treatments, perform professional services, and create a positive client experience.
The program is designed for students who want a direct path into professional skin care without completing a longer cosmetology or full specialist program.
What You Can Learn in Skin Care Classes
Students receive training in foundational skin care services and professional practices, including:

Prepare for Florida Facial Specialist Registration
Florida uses the term Facial Specialist for professionals who provide skin care services within the scope permitted by the state.
Florida Academy’s 300-hour Skin Care program is designed to provide the education students need to pursue Facial Specialist registration through the Florida Board of Cosmetology.
After successfully completing the program, graduates receive a Florida Academy diploma and may apply for registration in Florida.
