Career Placement Help

For students and graduates, Florida Academy’s Career Services office is devoted to working with graduates and employers on employee recruitment. Our devotion is so strong that we have two career services professionals – one specializing in the beauty and wellness field and the other in the HVAC industry. In addition, Florida Academy hosts annual Career Fairs on campus and facilitates tours of employers wishing to highlight the benefits of a particular company in our community. In that way, students and graduates can meet a variety of employers while still in school, so they hit the ground running upon graduation.

Our programs in Beauty & Wellness and Trade & Industrial present promising opportunities for graduates who successfully complete their studies. The job outlooks for professionals in those fields are very strong. The demand for HVAC technicians is projected to grow by 33% in Florida alone between 2014 and 2024, according to O*Net OnLine. For cosmetologists, the growth projection is 16% in Florida in that same period.*

Massage, skin care, and nail professions have consistently been rated on national “Top 10” lists for finding quality full-time and part-time jobs. Since 1992, our school has been assisting Florida employers in their hiring needs by sending graduates to employers who are seeking massage therapists, skin care professionals, and nail technicians.

Our graduates work in resort and destination spas, day spas, medical spas, large multi-branch spas, boutique spas, hotels, cruise ships, chiropractic and medical offices, physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. Florida Academy also takes pride in our many graduates that own their own successful businesses in the massage and skin care industry.

Our Career Services representatives are committed to assist students with creating a professional resume and being ready for an employer interview. Florida Academy also arranges Job Fairs to give current students and graduates excellent exposure to a variety of employers. Job Fairs take place on campus where employers display their company information and meet with you one-on-one.

As an added benefit to our graduates, Florida Academy maintains a proprietary list of jobs that are currently in demand, with the employer’s name and contact information. Our Career Services Department is available to all graduates throughout their lifetimes.

For employers, Florida Academy will publicize your positions, help you with candidate searches, and even work with you on your on-campus job listing. We also routinely hold Job Fairs on campus, which provide employers with an opportunity to talk with current students and graduates. These Job Fairs are highly popular and often result in capacity crowds, with many employers being placed on a “waiting list” to attend the next Florida Academy Job Fair.
